GLADYS MWANGI

Gladys Mwangi is an enthusiastic and highly skilled senior legal expert with over 15 years experience in providing a wide-range of cost-effective legal services that foster innovative approach in resolution of legal disputes. She was admitted to the Bar on 12 th October 2006.

She holds Undergraduate Degree in Law (LLB) and Master of Law (LLM) in Law Governance and Democracy from the University of Nairobi.

Gladys has extensive experience in legal practice with special interest in Commercial Law, Family Law & Conveyancing. In 2023, she was rated among the top 100 Litigation Lawyers in Kenya by Lawyer Africa. She has also authored a widely read Law Book, Civil Litigation in Kenya. She has also authored A Handbook on Estate planning, A step towards fighting the curse of inheritance disputes in Kenya.

Besides Legal practice, Gladys has taught in public universities which has given her a higher advantage in consolidating her knowledge base. Between 2017 and 2024, she taught Civil Procedure, Family Law and other courses at Kenyatta University School of Law.

Having practiced law for over 15 years Gladys has mastered the art of resolving legal disputes in the most efficient manner. She is highly skilled in court documentation and making persuasive arguments in court. She has prosecuted and defended many cases in superior courts, specialized courts and Tribunals in the Republic of Kenya.

Gladys is a great supporter of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). She is a practicing Mediator and is accredited by the Judiciary of Kenya. Besides undertaking private mediation under the Accord Mediation Chambers where she is the founder, she is also working with the judiciary under the Court Annexed Mediation programme where several cases pending in court have been referred to her for mediation.

Gladys is also an accomplished leader. Besides serving as the Manager at Gladys Mwangi & Company Advocates, she has served as Deputy Director of Students Affairs at Kenyatta University School of Law (2020-2023) and Vice-Chairperson of Association of Certified Mediators (ACM).

Gladys is also a Company Secretary, Commissioner for Oaths and Notary Public.

IVYNE KIIRU

She is well-versed in litigation and has represented clients before the High Court, Employment and Labour Relations Court, Environment and Land Court, subordinate courts, and specialized dispute resolution tribunals.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the University of Nairobi and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and is currently pursuing the Certified Secretaries (CS) qualification with KASNEB.

She is well-versed in litigation and has represented clients before the High Court, Employment and Labour Relations Court, Environment and Land Court, subordinate courts, and specialized dispute resolution tribunals.
Ivyne is also engaged in legal drafting of contracts and policies, and in overseeing their implementation to ensure compliance. This often includes delivering legal training and awareness sessions for employers, families, and also to formal and informal groups. Her focus is always on creating awareness and achieving efficient and sustainable solutions while safeguarding her clients’ best interests.

JACK WANJOHI

Throughout his career, he has developed extensive expertise in court-related processes, including filing and e-filing pleadings, serving court documents, maintaining court diaries and cause lists, and supervising court attendances to ensure matters progress smoothly. He’s also proficient in handling tasks at various government offices and registries such as the Companies Registry, Lands Offices, and other state agencies, where he supports conveyancing transactions, company compliance, property documentation, and related legal processes.

He is a seasoned Legal Clerk at Gladys Mwangi & Co. Advocates, with over six years’ worth of experience providing reliable clerical and procedural support in the legal field.

In addition, he provides essential support in office administration and client relations, ensuring seamless coordination between clients, courts, and the firm’s advocates. His reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality have made him a trusted member of every legal team he has served with.

He remains dedicated to refining his expertise as a legal clerk while contributing meaningfully to the efficiency and success of the firm, and by extension, the administration of justice.
